How it works

From connecting your first account to a confirmed booking landing on the right calendar — five steps, and what happens underneath each one.

  1. Connect every account

Sign in with Google or Microsoft 365 and add every account you actually run — brokerage, personal, team. Add your phone's own calendars from the mobile app.

  2. Name them and set privacy

Give each calendar a source tag and decide whether it's public (titles visible on your own merged view) or private (busy times only).

  3. Set your rules

Working hours, meeting types, durations, buffers, minimum notice and daily caps — per meeting type.

  4. Share one link

Your booking page offers only times that are genuinely free across everything, in the visitor's timezone.

  5. Approve and go

Approve from the email or the app. The meeting lands on the calendar you chose for that meeting type, with a conferencing link attached.

What keeps it correct

Timezones and DST

Everything is stored in UTC and resolved through IANA timezones at query time, with tests pinned around spring-forward and fall-back. Your booker's 9am is their 9am.

Sync that doesn't go stale

Provider push channels expire. Linemerge tracks every channel's expiry and renews it, and runs a periodic full reconciliation as a backstop.

No echo loops

Events Linemerge writes carry a marker, so they are ignored on the way back in. A booking can't reappear as a busy block that blocks itself.

Race-safe booking

Two people clicking the same slot is settled by the database, not by hoping. One wins, the other gets a clear message.

Stop answering “when are you free?” by hand

Linemerge is onboarding a small group of people who run more than one line.
